Discover How To Make Money Selling T-Shirts Online

Making money selling t-shirts online is a pretty simple process come to find out! Some people make a whole lot of money selling t-shirts online. (there are many more, I'm sure, that make no money selling t-shirts too)

Let's look at some of the resources out there for creating your own t-shirts, some marketing ideas and a resource for learning how to make money selling t-shirts online that comes with a help line.

How the Make Sell T Shirts Thing Works

The basics of making and selling t-shirts online is pretty straight forward - you design a shirt then you market that shirt to likely buyers.

Okay there you go we're all done here.

(Just kidding)

I wish it was that simple. However, there are a few things between creating or finding the T Shirt you want to sell and actually making a profit from the sale.

Let us divide up the process into sections

Designing the T Shirt Promoting your designs Creating your own T Shirt Marketing a T Shirt you or someone else has designed

Are you one of those people that sees something going on and thinks, "wow that would make a great T-shirt"? Or perhaps you are more like, "I heard a funny quote or saw something funny, and think it would sell if presented to the right group of people?" Do you have some experience with online image editors?

Well if you answered the above question in a positive manner, you could be in store to make money selling t-shirts and t-shirt designs online. You don't even have to sell the shirts yourself!

I accidentally made $32 in December of 2013 playing around with T Shirt design. After getting the "surprise" check in the mail I decided to get more serious about the whole process.

If you decide to use TeeSpring.com or Spreadshop.com as your primary platform you will find that they have some design art already there to make creating your masterpiece easy peasy.

Here are a few other resources for designing your own t-shirts to sell online:

Free Photoshop CS2

10 photoshop alternatives that are totally free

I love picmonkey.com for its ease of use and the wonderful pictures that you can create there.

A word of warning when designing your own stuff:

make sure that you use only royalty free art make sure that there are no copyrights on the art you use don't use logos from franchisesI cover how to find "legal" images on Google and Bing over on my blog if you are wondering about how to find pictures for free that you can incorporate into your designs.Probably the easiest way to get t-shirt design to promote t-shirts with is to head on over to Fiverr.com and find a good Tshirt designer. They are not all equal in quality or cost or timeliness in responding so my advice is to read the reviews and only hire those with good recommendations.

Advanced T Shirt Design Tips

Some of these tips are for really advanced T Shirt design creators but think that they give those of us that are real talented some ideas, maybe on a more limited scale.

This video shows some basics for using CorelDraw x6 - but I think you can use the concepts to figure out photoshop or gimp

Promoting Your Designs

It turns out that you can upload your T-shirt artwork to several different places that will pay you a royalty when others sell products with your design attached. Some places are easier than others to up load your art work, but if you work with them eventually you can get it figured out.

Here are a few of the places where they will pay you royalties that I'm aware of:

Zazzle

Sunfrog

Spreadshirt

I'm pretty confident that there are many others out there, these are just three to get you started.

Creating Your Own T Shirt Design

Marketing a T Shirt You or Someone Else Has Designed

Okay now that you have your shirt all created you are going to want to know how to get others to purchase them right?

There are a myriad of ways to market stuff online. The question really comes down to what niche does your t-shirt design fall into and what type of person would want to acquire that shirt.

For example if you are selling "pet" themed shirts you might want to advertise on Facebook or Google Plus to a specific group of people that love their pets or specific type of pet, like dogs or cats or even goats. (personally I'm a goat lover)

You can also put posts about your shirt on Tumblr, Clipzine and Pinterest. Shape the posts around people who would be interested in wearing your creation.

Contact owners of blogs that feature articles about the niche you TShirt fits into and see if they will post a little side ad for your T Shirt. Don't be afraid to spend a little money if the site gets a lot of visitors that little ad could amount to quite a few sales.

Contact owners of Facebook Fan pages who have a lot of fans and offer to share some of your revenue with them as you make sales in exchange for them pinning your post to their page for an agreed upon amount of time. Once they start to see money, you may find they like having your ad there :)

If you have your own site around the niche don't forget to put a little banner ad up on your website about the T-Shirt.

These few idea should get you warmed up to the possibilities.
